Today Tanjong Pagar Railway Station (TPRS) sits behind scaffolding, unvisitable as a mass rapid transit (MRT) line and station are built underneath the national monument. It appears that revisiting and re-representing ideas in many modes helps us better understand those ideas, and that giving children chances to think through content from reading in writing and talk allows them to further build up their comprehension of what they have read (Duke et al., 2011).
